While not as good as tournament edition - NBA Jam on the game gear is tons of fun.
With it's only competition on the game gear being itself and Arch Rivals the game gear version of NBA Jam was awesome.
Most will think of this game as less fun than tournament edition, and it is, but it did beat tournament edition with cool halftime graffix and other small tweaks that made the game really fun to play.
This was a great roster too, minus you know, not having Michael Jordan but no games really did at the time.
You could control your teammate by telling him when to shoot or pass which gave you added control and really helped bring the arcade feel home.
This is not a sim - this is arcade basketball at its finest and it was tons of fun to play.
The replay value on this game was high as no 2 games were ever the same despite the simple gameplay at heart.
