In a recent press pamphlet released by Capcom, Shinji Mikami announced that he is currently working on the next installment in the Biohazard (Resident Evil) series for the PlayStation2 console. In addition to Biohazard, he also announced that he is working on "other PlayStation2 projects" and is finishing up Biohazard: Code Veronica for the Dreamcast.

And on the subject of Biohazard: Code Veronica, Mikami also mentioned two humorous statements about the game. When asked what his most embarrassing moment was he stated, "When I saw one 'love scene' in Code Veronica. I blushed!" And when asked what special plans he has to celebrate the millennium he mentioned, "I promise to complete Code Veronica before the new millennium begins."
