An underrated classic.

In September of 1996, the Nintendo 64 was finally released in the U.S. Along with the amazing system came (unfortunately) only two launch titles. Of course everybody remembers Super Mario 64. After all, the idea of seeing Mario in full 3-D just blew everyone's minds. So instinctively they went after that game. But they seemed to have overlooked the other launch title. It was a little pilot simulation game known as Pilotwings 64, which is a remake of the original Pilotwings for the SNES. Even though it's primary purpose was to just show off the graphical capabilities of the N64, there was alot more to it. It's not as grand or revolutionary as "Super Mario 64", but it is certainly a good, challenging game in the end.

PROS:
-Impressive graphics for its time
-Huge overworld with a variety of locations
-A variety of challenging tests
-Charming music
-Runs at a good framerate
-Control is decent

CONS:
-Camera is a little weird
-Control can be over-responsive at times

This game deserved a bit more recognition, for it certainly is a good game. I would consider it at least a rental, but for N64 fanatics such as myself, it is a worthy addition to your collection. I would definitely consider this an underrated classic.
