There's room for improvement

User Rating: 7 | Pokemon X 3DS

For this review I am going to assume that you are a pokemon fan that is not new to the series. If you are new, some of the things mentioned wont really matter, but you should still be able to find this review at least somewhat helpful. Now, I always prefer reviews in a list format as they are short and concise, unlike this little introduction. Thanks for reading!

Now to the review....

Pros:

-Stellar new graphics equipped with 3D models of every Pokemon!

-The introduction of a new type ( fairy ) helps to further balance the Pokemon world.

-Roller Skates! These clip on wheels make getting around much easier!

-The Friend Safari allows players to find rare Pokemon and even lets players get Pokemon not normally allowed in their version!

-Super Training allows players to fully EV their Pokemon before they even leave the beginning town! This makes it easier to make sure your Pokemon grow the way you want to rather than get bonus points to stats that are meaningless for them!

-The new abilities and items increase the depth of the competitive Pokemon field.

-Character customization, while somewhat limited, allows for the player to express themselves as a trainer.

-Well made PR videos can make you seem like a second Red.

-A decent length story that provides challenges while still making it possible to beat the game without grinding.

-Mega Evolution adds a new spin on competitive play, adding more depth and balance to the game.

-The revamped EXP share makes training a pokemon team easy!

-The addition of a free Kanto starter Pokemon provides either an alternative starter option or a great addition to a team!

-O-powers are the bees knees. Fo' real.

Cons:

-There are only 70 new Pokemon, 98 if you include mega evolutions.

-Team Flare is just plain lame.

- The members of Team Flare don't capture the image of how their leader wants to shape the world.

-The Friend Safari is tedious, making you scavenge forums for friend codes at an attempt to maybe get some decent Pokemon. This is unless you actually have 100 people in your friends list already and if you do, kudos.

-Pokemon-Amie seems out of place. there isnt a real, game changing point to it.

-The restrictions in Lumiose City make it a chore to have fun there.

-There isnt much to do with the postgame Legendary pokemon as there are only 3 and each one takes less than a half hour to get.

-Being social seems like it is being forced.

Things I personally can look over:

-The tediousness of the Friend Safari.

-Team Flare.

-The lack of new Pokemon.
