Just another example of Valves brilliance. From the very beginning to the very end you will find plenty of things to love about Portal 2.

Once again an A.I. has gone mad, and once again Glados is along for the ride. You will be spending the first half of the game with Weatley the charismatic A.I. It's not until close to the second half of the game that Glados becomes your new best friend, of course, only after a deadly confrontation.

Like the original, Portal 2 features some amazing puzzles and like the original, also has some very memorable test chambers to boot. But it isn't until way later in the games plot that Portal 2 starts to really improve upon its predecessor with some rather fun and unique tools that the game throws at your disposal. Not to spoil too much, but you will be solving later puzzles with paint like goo that comes in two color variations, white and blue. White is used to paint on surfaces, that would otherwise not allow you to use your portal gun, but thanks to the white paint stuff those surfaces will be kissing your portals with welcoming splendor. Now about the blue paint, this stuff is used to paint certain areas of the floor in order to allow the player to bounce his or her way up to otherwise out of reach places. That probably sounds not very interesting, but once you see for yourself what it's like painting surfaces and what not, in action you'll relize just how fun it really is. and if those two new features to Portal 2s gameplay are not enough to get you interested in playing this great sequel, than maybe the well done mind bending puzzles will, because there are more then plenty of them in this sequel, and they only get more challenging later on. If you thought Portal couldn't get any better, then just wait till you play Portal 2. I'm not going to say that it out lives the original, because I honestly don't think that, and personally I feel that would be way to bold a statement. If you love brain exercising games that test your puzzle solving skills and you love playing the kind of game that will stick with you long after the end credits, then trust me when I say that you will not be disappointed with playing Portal 2, if anything thing you'll be very glad you did.

Verdict: 9/10
