Dumbing it down much?

I've have such mixed feelings about this game that I don't really know where to begin and still can't tell if I like it or not.
I love this series but in most games I get to one part that I just can't do, the run along wall/jump over blades onto pole/land on enemies head routines can sometimes get impossible. And it can ruin the fun a little. But this game is so easy - everything from the puzzles to the bosses just whizz by. Which also kind of takes the fun out BUT still is enjoyable.
Then you get to the last level. Talk about difficult. You go from a 2/10 in difficulty through the whole game to suddenly 9/10. BAM! Now THAT takes the fun out, trying for an hour just to get to the top of a wall just to land on your head, again and again and again.
A bit of balance please.
Still, I enjoyed this game very much but compare to the rest of the series, complete poop.
