Another game from the recent charade of disappointments..

User Rating: 5.5 | Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands PC
For a fan of Pop what comes to mind is the ability to perform complex combat maneuvers and the satisfaction of ending a racking streak of jumps and wall runs ending with a cool cut-scene- 'a glimpse of the mysterious plot .

This recent release joins up with the other disappointments this season.
The games has totally been downgraded to a point that mature gamers do not get any satisfaction at all , this could be due to the fact the the combat revolves around just clicking the LMB and using some flashy but childish and comical powers that have no relevance to the moves and abilities that the we have come to acknowledge and relate to the Prince of Persia .
This game a somewhat hybrid of the war-torn prince with the last ludicrous cartoonish release.
The plot lacks luster and feels as if written just for the sake of it .
I expected some twists and turns in the plot, but it was as linear as it could get ,with the prince doing nothing but chase his brother for most of the story.
The story could have used some background and a little bit of hardcore.

The platforming and area traversing was the only good thing bout the game although it was riddled with silly glitches and bugs, though easy did not feel too grindy . The constant and intricate juggling of powers helped with the fun. It was really hilarious and sad to see how the lack of imagination from the devs made em use the monsters as objects of transportation ,specifically placed not even a hint of coincidence given off.
The ending sequence was the most exciting part of the game (Only if they made the whole game like that).

The game is short and is not worth the money it asks for .
This game could have been good, not great but good if it launched after the Sands of Time, but sadly this day and age demands good game play and atleast a lovable story from The Prince of Persia.
