the series came a long way

Good

- Right when I didn't think they could amp up the narrative they do. The plot is actually pretty interesting and I'm starting to get attached to the main cast

- cutscenes are very well done. Perfect amount of humor.

- Despite the narrative and feel of the game being more for kids, I like how there is an underlying aspects that make it appeal to adult gamers too. Ratchet is definitely the level headed one among the cast, and in a way, I could put myself in his shoes. Whenever something ridiculous happens around him, he raises his eye brows or sighs, which I'm like, yup totally agreed. And suddenly, the atmosphere doesn't feel whacky in a childish way.

- progression is done very well. Never felt there was too much repetitive action. Right when something got too much, it was transitioning into other gameplay. (shoot em up, spaceship, clank puzzles, platforming, etc)

- the hub space world is nice. It makes the whole world feel bigger, instead of just a menu selecting places. The extra small plants and inhabitants made it feel move lively too.

- the continuity of the plot from 3 is done very well. Building on the existing cast like Nefarious, Zoni, Clank being separated was a good decision.

- combat feels great as usual. Clank parts are new and refreshing.

- hover boot gameplay is pretty fun. Convenient way to get around.

- upgrades are not too much of a main focus which is good. Things just upgrade automatically as used.

- using water, oil, honey to ward off the bugs and get past obstacles was fun.

- voice acting is top notch as usual

- the areas are varied, and refreshing

- the space dog fights wasn't anything crazy, but it added to the world atmosphere

Bad

- the story with alister is a little cliche. The outcome for his part was very predictable.

- some fights were a little too easy. Time stopping ability feels overkill.

- ran out of ammo too fast on final boss. And there are only a few weapons that were actually useful against him.
