A solid jump to the next gen

User Rating: 8 | Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction PS3

Good

- they kept all the fun aspects from the pervious games, and improved upon them

- strongest narrative so far in the series

- cutscenes are very well done, and the dialogue is top notch as expected from the series

- visuals have improved a lot

- clank segments are more compact, which is good cause it was never a strong point in the gameplay. It's now short and sweet.

- glad they are focusing on ratchet's back story, about his race and where he came from. There's also mystery surrounding the plot which drew me in as I played

- the new weapons are pretty neat. There is a wide array and most are fun to use and are useful in certain situations.

- the door unlocking mini games are more straight forward, which is good. I never wanted them to be too difficult or complicated, since they aren't part of the main gameplay. This goes for the spaceship segments as well.

Bad

- targeting can feel a little wonky at times. Sudden camera changes can screw up your maneuver

- no auto turnaround button
