This was the first game I have bothered pre-ordering, and I'm glad I did. Waking up this morning was like Christmas day; pumped up to open that present that you have been waiting for for weeks and you already peaked, so you know you got it. You can feel the same Rockstar brilliance that gave birth to the GTA phenomenon, yet the wild west venue and many new playing features (like breaking in the wild stallions, which is very cool) make it a whole new game (though you may miss listening to the hilarious radio stations in your rides).
This game certainly solidifies the reputation of Rockstar as being the preeminent powerhouse at crafting thoroughly immersive and visually stunning gameplay experiences. If you are even thinking twice about geting this game due to the old west theme, take my word for it; it is awesome. I have never enjoyed western movies (with the exception of Tombstone), and hate country music, but this game sucks you right into the era. It's like PLAYING the movie tombstone.
Haven't had too long to play it yet, but it's clearly going to be the new crack of video games! I'd write more, but gotta get back on the stick! Mount up, and enjoy y'all!!
