There are a few small issues with the game, but overall it's relatively well optimized for good PCs

I think this being the first first person shooter version, they knocked it out of the park and then the Village follow up only added to the grungy-ness of 7, turning it into an elegant castle filled with wonders, but without 7, 8 would not have knees to lean on. 7 introduced Ethan, our new story, and a more visceral version of our beloved franchise. To some gamers, it was way off the mark, but to others, it was a welcome refreshment. I tend to this optimistically, and I'd say it was a reboot needed for the series to survive, and after cartoony 5, and ridiculously terrible 6 (I liked 5), this was a welcome back to the survival horror franchise.

Pick this up if you get time. It's worth the story at the least.
