A very good ARPG that is really underappreciated, i had a blast playing this game!

A thorough Analysis of the game from my perspective. In no particular order of importance here are my thoughts on what was right and wrong with the game. I give it that high score despite finding many things that kind of annoyed me but thtat was just nitpicking, i had way too much fun playing this game....

The concept and idea of the game works well and the story is quite intricate.

The weather system worked well, we had sunny, rain which was extremely cool, both were done magnificently.

The modelling of the character was right on.

The animations of the character were expressive and fun.

Large number of npc's

Water looks like water.

Some ambient sounds are super, like when there is a thunderstorm, you can hear the thunder and it is nicely done and realistic.

Very beautiful locals.

Tons of well acted dialogue.

Nice texturing.

Lots of loot.

Fact that there is an eco system that helps you grow you character is fun. ( plants, animals and other stuff you pick up in the wild will make your character grow its attribute instead of assigning points to them after levelling up. I found that extremely rewarding and it added a level of depth to the game.

Prospecting added another level of fun in the game.

Facts that you could develop other skills in the game such as smiting, lock picking pick pocketing again adds another level of depth to the game.

Very long game if you try to do all the side quests which is really good.

Vegetation was magnificent and well done.

Many good looking locations in the game sprinkled everywhere.

Lots of unique quests with nice treasure at the end.

Ability to have a pet when you have scrolls to bring one up.

Ability to play thru all day cycle.

Lots of dialogue to choose from which extends the story and puts things in perspective.

Nice non stressful background music.

Nice ending, I did not find anything wrong with it. The only thing missing is that the end animation could have given us more info on the faith of the hero character but it was not a major upset to me.

What does or did not work well,

Navigations system, the compass to me was worthless as it gave me no real indication of where the cardinal points really were or help me navigate the land.

Facial animations were stiff at times.

Lots of useless loot for the fact that many of them do not give you enough efficient to help you out or be meaningful to you. It is good to have that much variety but is needs to help out also.

Repetitive recycled NPC's models.

Original game manual skimps out on very important details. If you are new to this kind of game you will have somewhat of a learning curve to go thru.

The game could have used bumps mapping in some areas, like on the side of cliffs and on rocky roads to add more details.

Not a lot of clothes to change into.

You start out as a very weak character and that will test your patience.

Somewhat of a long learning curve due to lack of information from the manual. The game does not really tell you what to do inside the game to help build your character.

For example I did not know until really late that pants would help you build strength and other attributes that you have. It was there all the time but I got to find this by dumb luck really, if I had known from the start my character would have not been that weak for long.

The map system leaves to be desired. A multipart quest can be hard to make because the markers do not update on the map when you have achieve a specific part of a multi part quest. Each part should be updated to reflect it's status after completion to avoid confusion and unnecessary repetitions. A way to fix this could be that an in game NPC sells you a more detailed map of an area.

No "compare items to another" feature you should be able to have a compare feature that shows you your current stats for an item compared to what you want to put in to see if you gain or lose in the specs side of things. This is standard in a huge amount of ARPG and should have been standard here.

Drinking in a water barrel should fully replenish your health right away, you should not have to drink 10 times to do it, you should just see a bar that fills it up.

Getting out in a fight sometimes is a mess, because your character seems to want to keep on hitting its target which can end up you losing a fight and have to reload.

Same music loops over and over, there should have been a little more variety of the same type of music.
