Not great but better than most people give it credit for.

This was the first XBOX game i played all the through back in late 2004. I had played very little on the XBOX up until that point. This game helped me get the feel for the XBOX controller. (I had been a Playstation person since the first one came out.) The story was the most engrossing part of the game for me. It really hooked me. Of course, Sci-fi and Horror is my thing. I thought the voice work on the game was awesome. Kate Mulgrew and Lance Henrickson, two Sci-Fi staples, provide the main voices.

The gameplay isn't innovative and the graphics aren't top notch. The creatures in the game look like they were based off of some of H.R> Geiger's work. (The basis for the Alien franchise.) It looks just like and plays just like every other game of its genre. Still, I was hooked. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to see how the story ended.

The most appealing aspect of the game besides the story is the sound. The music for the game is loud heavy rock rock music provided courtesy of Breaking Benjamin. I had just seen Breaking Benjamin open earlier that year for Fuel. When I saw them live I didn't know who they were but liked their music. Then when i started playing thwe game I recognized a couple of the songs. I later found out that that there is one of their videos on the game and that they provided all of the music for the game.

All in all this isn't a masterpiece by any means nor is it the worst game i've ever played.
