Best Open World Pirate Game ever ( well ~ that I know of )

User Rating: 9 | Sid Meier's Pirates! PC
If you think pillaging and pirating is a bad thing you've probably never played "Sid Meier's Pirates!" before.

Ups:
One thing that really stands out in this title is the variety of the styles of game play it presents from ship battles to attacking settlements to sword duels to the occasional dancing. This game never fails to burn through hours of your life trying to accomplish each quest you come across.

Its got a lot of collectibles which is a good thing Coz we all what goodies right? And Hijacking powerful Galleons and Warships and selling them off is a good way to get the blood flowing.

Its an open world game, so you can do whatever the heck you want. You have no definite alliances with any of the major powers so you can just screw with whoever you feel like.

Downs:
The game does get repetitive at times ~ you'll find that searching for buried treasure, or sinking the same ships over and over for hours on end isn't all its cracked up to be. But that's something a little break from time to time won't fix.

No matter how much you accomplish your crew is never satisfied, you'll find that even if you become the most notorious pirate they'll still wine and insist on "Dividing the Plunder" after a very short span of time. Which unfortunately leaves you bankrupt and crew-less again (freaking annoying as hell)

The only major issue I got with this game is that sometimes the quests given to you are ridiculously far, and "sometimes" by the time you get there the quest moves to another far off location. Which is really irritating considering that you can't manually fast forward the game when your traveling by sea.
