My partner highly recommended this game to me as he's played it for years and there's so much depth to engage him that he still plays it for hours every week (in 2022!) We're both fans of Android Netrunner and love the complexity and ingenuity of the interactions and asymmetrical gameplay, but playing Netrunner for too long also hurts one's brain. StS brings the complexity down a notch, creating a version of Netrunner that can be played solo and for far longer at a stretch. StS is perfectly designed, addictive, and dangerous.
In an era where so many mobile games throw developer and designer hours at running events and making you splash out for lootboxes of fancy new characters and items to disguise mediocre gameplay mechanisms, being able to get hundreds of hours of satisfying, deep gameplay for just $10 (no IAP!), and in an app that you can play entirely offline without internet (to entertain you when waiting at a restaurant or airport), is just fantastic value. Everyone who enjoys complex card games should at least try this. I shouldn't have waited so long.
