great ideas
The gameplay is awsome the fact you are constantly dying and have to eat souls to survive is really smart. There are loads of moves to perform from high jumps to gliding. The puzzles are great and it is really clever the way you must move to the spectral relm to accomplish certain tasks. You see everything looks different in the spectral relm compared to real world. You can slay your enemies with finishig attacks and can take their weapons.
The graphics are really good they have improved alot since the last few Legacy Of Kain games. The graphics may be a little less detailed in places and does seem a bit grey in parts. That deffinatley shouldnt stop you from getting this though it has really great graphcs especially in some cutscenes which are great like the oppening movie wow PS3 looking graphics they are.
The sound really adds to the atmosphere with the medevil music and the sound of your enemies lurking around. The sounds are also very violent like when killing an enemy the sounds are so graphic. The music is great and so are the sounds, although there is very little in places.
The story continues the tragedy of Raziel and his fight with Kain. The endind is another cliff hanger which is really unfulfilling and makes you eager for the next game. The reaver is now summoned at will which is great and the cutscenes are great. The main reason i recommend this is deffinatley the story. whenever you think you understand it fully something happens that makes you wonder if you were right about knowing everything.
This is overall a must for any fan of the series and if you new to the series this is deffinatley worth a visit or at least a rent. This game deserves a place in your pile.
