Burnout on two wheels? Good enough for me!
Alot of people are arguing about this game being burnout for bikers..... well if it is then whats so bad about that.
Acclaim did another good job in 2003 with a budget title that wasnt flat .
Sppeding down the roads , kick people off bikes , and superb crashes , there isnt anything better..................oh yes there is its called POWERSLIDES. Powersliding is intial at least one time a race , because there are trucks , falling trees , and other general obstacles you need to slide Under my pressing and holding the Y button.
the sliding looks good with reflected lights and a blur effect and the sweet sound of scrapping metal just makes you want to do it more.
The levels range from Brilliant design to Un-orginal design , but they all look good wether its raining , sunny , in the dirt tracks , in the city , at night , or in the snow.
the sound is awesome with SFX to the maximum , to give you a full sense of speed and havok.
The crashes are amazing as you fly through the air and bits of mashed bike fly and scatter around you.
there are other ticks than powersliding with combinations of Wheelies,Stoppies, HAndstands and riding with your feet dragging along the road.
Like burnout , swiping through traffic and special moves will fill up your Turbo meter witch will help you get the lead in the last lap.
I was dissapointed that it is like burnout in the fact that its timed checkpoint racing , so most of the time i dont even have a chance to catch up.
collecting all the bikes is a good part of this game , earning respect points by doing stunts during a race help unlock so mean looking speeder bikes.
time attack and multiplayer modes are there , and an interesting Licence mode that teaches you all the basics and special moves you need to know.
getting Gold in every stage will take awhile to get through.
Overall If Speed Kings is jjust a burnout clone , i dont care because the formula on two wheels works outt into a great game.
