Who Cares If It's Shallow? This Game Is Insanely Thrilling To Play!

Split/Second puts you in a tv show where you compete in a series of races with possibly the most insanely awesome gameplay i have ever seen! You get power plays by performing drifts, etc. and you activiate them to trigger booby traps along the track suck as rockslides, buildings collapsing on opponents, parked utility vehicles smushing opponents into walls, etc. You get level 1 and 2 power plays (the ones i mentioned are level 1). the level 2 power plays are even more insane than level 1 powerplays. if you save up your energy after level 1s you can trigger such level 2 power plays as nuclear reactors collapsing on opponents, grounded planes attacking, etc. the most interesting thing i have seen were the survivals, the airstrikes/ air revenges. in survival, you try to complete a lap around a course while dodging every powerplay immaginable triggered. air strikes are you trying to complete a lap while dodging missles fired from a helicopter. my personal favorite, the air revenge where you try to deflect helicopter missles back while trying to complete a lap with the power play energy acquired by dodging missles, drifting, etc. (level 2 power plays are required to get the best times.) overall, simply a fantastic game, no matter how shallow the game is!
