I'll admit that I purchased this game on the premise that it featured monkeys in balls. What I didn't realize at the time was the maddeningly addictive fun of this quirky little game. From the (occasionally difficult) main game to the party-friendly mini games, this is a title that has received a lot of time in my cube.

The main game (as opposed to the mini-games) features simple game play, yet requires a fair amount of precision with the analog stick. The levels range from inexplicably easy to frustratingly difficult, and at times seem somewhat out of order. The final level, for example, was shockingly easy compared to some of those leading up to it.

The mini-games, though good, vary considerably the amount of fun they are to play. Monkey Target is a wonderful party game that those unfamiliar with gaming can excel at, but Monkey Fight (though fun) can get a bit chaotic. Billiards and Bowling can both be good entertainment, but Monkey Race and Golf never really did it for me.
