I don't know how they did it, but they did it: "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U," boring title and all, was one of the best games of 2014 (even though 2014 was a weak year, I'm sure it would've been amazing in any other year), and now with all the DLC and balance patches released, it's truly a fantastic game. Brilliant, fun, exciting, beautifully designed (I can't stress that point enough), brimming with content, and featuring a truly outstanding soundtrack, "Smash Wii U" has plenty going for it. Add to it the fact that the physics have been improved greatly, and the game feels far more balanced than previous installments, and you've got yourself one of the prime examples of an "as good as it gets" kind of game. This is one of the games that is worth buying a Wii U for (well...maybe not now), and in every way, it is truly a marvelous entry in an excellent franchise.
