Yes it's an FPS, but it actually manages to be fresh and the CO-OP will get you.

Starbreeze only comes out with something for us to chew on once in a great while and they are masters of science fiction so it is lovely to see their return to it since Butcher Bay/Dark Athena which in my mind was excellent.

The single player manages to be just outside of what you expect from time to time and I won't ruin it for you but there are loads of sequences where things are tilited on their head and its usually because of you. Breath of fresh air environments mixed with familiar Blade Runner references make it perfect for the people old enough to recall the original game. The guns FIRE as in great sound design and the voice acting sets the bar for modern expectations,as well as, the mo-cap being used here. They really look like people you are hanging out with until you start jumping up and down in front of a mirror.

Breaching is brilliant though sometimes what you end up with a scenario you could have seen coming, still a very novel combat idea. The HUD is great, it reads like an actual airforce HUD much like Crysis 2 except it moves with your inputs much more so.

The CO-OP is so addictive it became one of the first times in years that I made new friends online! It is Halo 2 dorm room good so have time off to XP up and get all the benefits and weapon attachments.

If you are looking for a fast paced Sci-Fi experience that is somewhat feasable and are attuned to FPS's than this is for you. It's a real surprise.
