Nearly a perfect fighting game experience

User Rating: 10 | Tekken 5 PS2
Let's start with the good features:

+Eye candy : Especially the stages (check out the waterfall and burning temple, wow). The best looking PS2 game ever.
+Easy to learn : You won't be spending many minutes to learn the basic fighting techniques, and in Tekken it's absolutely possible to beat the game without special moves or big combos
+Roster : There are many characters in this game, and best of all there's loads of differences between their fighting styles. Still, Tag Tournament had a slightly better one. Score: 9.
+Multiplayer : Fighting games are always best in multiplayer, and Tekken 5 is not an exception.
+Videos : Some of the epilogue videos are hilarious (especially Law's one) and they're all great-looking and well-animated. Just like Tekken 3, but this time, off course, they're even better! Score: 8,5.
+ARCADE HISTORY MODE!!! It's amazing how Namco got the idea to put the awesome Arcade versions of the first 3 Tekkens (and Starblade, which is really boring). I spend at least half of my Tekken 5 playtime in Arcade History, mostly Tekken 3, which rocks amazingly much. Score: 10.

Then the bad:
-Devil within. It's a terrible bonus game that has an impossible boss (true ogre), amazingly small number of save points just to make you play through the same stages everytime, incredibly generic stages and music, and cheap fights with you against ten JACKS. Score: 2.
-Jinpachi Mishima : Stun attack! fireball (which takes an unbelievable amount of damage from you)! *player gets closer* Stun attack! big punch! *player gets up* Stun attack! How cheap is that?
-Announcer. Get ready for the next battle! After being crushed, smashed and mind-raped by that big fat Jinpachi, that guy still won't stop saying that one line... You Lose! Continue? Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Good way to teach your kids to count from ten to one.
-If you go to TEAM BATTLE MODE, And you choose RANDOM CHARACTERS, there is a 90% chance that at least one of them will be Wang, Panda, Ganryu or Steve.

Scores:
SINGLEPLAYER : Can be too hard for beginners, but for more experienced fighters it's great. Jinpachi is horrible, but there are modes like team battle and survival that are more fun. Score: 9
MULTIPLAYER : Amazingly fantastic. Score: 10, obviously
GRAPHICS : Couldn't be better on PS2. Score: 10
SOUNDS : Good sound FX, great speech, and good music. Score: 8
