I was hoping more... Though it delivers less...

Okay, so i loved the first TDU. I've played it on both PC and PS2. It is enjoyable. After i'm quite close of beating both, i stopped playing (Not really, I lost the PC disc and removed TDU out of my computer. and the PS2 have been extremely scratched)
Now the sequel came out! Yay! First time i heard the news, i jump out of the top floor of a 45 story apartment to check out if it's a dream or not.
RELEASE DAY, just a few days (okay,a week, actually) before my monthly "Let's go game shopping" date. I thought it will be a lot better. Like, 100% Better.
But it's not. Not even by 25% better.
BAD BITS:
>Voice acting! Agh! It's really forced and some of them will last like a thousand year! I'm not going to listen to bad audio for that long!
>Certain sound issues. Okay, if you turn up the radio in cockpit view, the engine sound will be, almost soundless. I'm using the sequential gear setting, that's not good. I'm depending to the car's noise to change gear. I can't really see the rev counter. This is okay in a car that uses gearsticks. But ALL of my car uses Flappy-Paddles.
>Car Handling. It's weird. Some bigger issues is that if you turn the analog stick a bit, it won't turn at all. But if you turn it to the max, the car will overturn.
>The amount of off-road paths. Well, it's good if you have an off-road car. I don't and it's annoying to cruise at 50 MPH in a never ending off-road path. It's like seeing heaven when i saw tarmac again.
>Awful radio stations. Firstly, there's only 2 choices. Either Techno/Hip-hop or Rock. Secondly, unlike the first TDU, it's a radio station, not pick some songs from a long list and play it anyway you want. You have to wait until your favourite song came up. Then, most of the songs are absolutely TERRIBLE.And those terrible songs last longer than other songs. I've been cruising for half an hour real time and all i heard? BIONIC by someone i don't care who. C'mon?! Why can't all the songs just be Deadmau5-Ghosts n stuff ?!
>Snail traffics. No matter where you are, off-road, highway, motorway, heaven. Everyone will be moving at a slow 40 MPH (i've counted it). I mean seriously, there is NO speed limits off-road are there?! and what country limits the highway speed to 40 MPH?!
>Awful events. Bomb events to be precise. Some of the 'Driving' bomb mission (Featuring the driving gauge)might take you off-road. Now, if you went at least 1mm off the dirt path, PENALTY. C'mon! You're off-road already! Would it matter if you went off the path?!
And then, the guy who told you to do the ridiculous mission will always criticise every mistake.Every little mistake. THIS IS MY CAR, MY LIFE AND MY WAY. If you want it YOUR way, why don't you sit here, in the driver's seat and drive how it should be?!
>Okay, this is stupid but i can't help but tell. It doesn't teach the right thing. Certainly, picking up a stranger on the side of the road is okay. In real life, it's risky, they might take your precious Aston Martin off you. Also, giving your car to a stranger because 'I am too damn busy, i got a very important meeting with a very important client' and let the stranger drive it to a car service is okay. Seriously, what idiot think of this idea?
>Ridiculous reward money and prices. Okay, you're not gonna get paid a lot for them bomb missions (meaning you're gonna need to do lots of them to buy faster cars for faster tournaments) Problem there. And then come the ridiculous in-game prices. FURNITURES! Some sofas can costs more than $4000. Some small tables can costs more than $2000. Umm...That's the amount of money you could use to buy a used car from the 80s. Want more ridiculous? Car wash, $1500. Full body repaint, $2000! there are cheaper prices IRL you know? An Italian flag and a circle with 'ITA' written in it for my beloved classic Ferrari? An astonishing $35,000! Who on earth set these damned prices? Maybe they're aliens anyway.
>The fact that the developers aren't focused on the driving. House buying, plastic surgeries, fashion and photo takings. These stuffs, they took the spaces for many thing better for the driving!
>Long and not so rewarding career mode. In TDU, there are championships. Manufacturer championships in which you could win a certain car (well i've won a Cr.4,000,000 Aston Martin DB4 Zagato from the AM Club. Note the 4 million okay?) and in TDU2? What manufacturer championship? (note: The 'LONG Career mode' is probably due to the fact that you'll be driving around to a certain race 20 miles away)
>Maps are too large. there's 2 of them. 2 Humongous map. And what's the point of that if it's very bland, dull, tedious and empty? You could be driving 10 miles of nothing, no real estates, no tuning stores, no sticker shops, no car showrooms! and the fact that one point of interest could separate far away from each other. There won't be 2 car showrooms in less than 10 miles distance.
>(This is minor but still) Visual modification is limited to stickers only. No bodykits and no changing rims (unless you're about to buy it [showroom])

Well now for the good bits.
There's very little of it. I can't lie, but yes, i do have some good times playing it. There are many good looking houses (inspiration for me). Great car variations (although some are quite overpriced. An Aston Martin V12 Vantage costs $179,000 IRL. Ingame, it's over $200,00)
That's it really. I'm not impressed by the game. Not at all.
