This game includes many new features compared to it's predecessor but also includes one major disappointment.

For starters, TDU2 is twice as big compared to TDU. It includes two islands i.e. Hawaii & a new island named Ibiza which is smaller than Hawaii. This game mainly focuses on online stuff rather than offline.

New features include Photography i.e. taking photos to complete certain events/tasks, Treasure Hunting i.e. finding wrecked cars around the island, New Global level system, Driving School, Weather system, Traffic Violation, Online stuff like Casino, Clubs, Community Center, etc.

Instead of measuring your progress in percentage, TDU2 has introduced a new Global system where you earn points to increase your global level [Max. is 60].
It has been divided into four categories viz. Races/Multiplayer, Discovery, Collection & Social.

Before you enter any competition you have to acquire it's license from Driving school which can be frustrating at times.

I really liked taking photos & finding wrecked cars but the best part was probably the inclusion of variety of weather conditions viz. Sunny, Cloudy & Rainy. Rain had the best climatic effect that I have seen in a racing game.

Casino is completely online so you won't enjoy this game much if you play only offline. The online stuff in this game is quite varied but has lots of bugs & issues. Fortunately Atari has fixed it with their patches but quite a few still remain.

Like it's predecessor, Graphics & ambience are quite good.
Unlike it's predecessor you don't have to come first in every race you enter in Championships for gold medal. Each Championship contains 7-9 races so you have to come first collectively/overall in them.

The biggest disappointment for me was the exclusion of Bikes.
Without bikes there is no fun in discovering roads as it becomes too tedious.
Though Atari did mention to release a DLC pack for the bikes but till date it's not yet released.

Another major issue is the handling of cars. Again it's not as bad as it is rumoured but some of the cars given in Driving School really suck even with a racing wheel.
My guess is Atari did that on purpose to make it a little challenging.

Should I go for it?
Not really unless you are a hardcore TDU fan.

The Good : New features are exciting especially Casino. Again there is no difficulty level making it easy for newbies to beat this game. Inclusion of some really new & fast cars.

The Bad : Multiplayer still has quite a few bugs/issues. Handling still not that good. Some cars in Driving School really suck.
No Bikes making road discovery too tedious & time consuming. Game is quite expensive [$30 - $40].

Final Verdict : Overall I had a mixed feeling after playing this game.
I recommend to go for this game after Atari releases the Bike pack.
