This game has a mixed reaction on me. First, I do not have a lot of time to invent in gaming, so this kind of game in witch you may die hundreds of times could be considered at some point a waste of time. However, this game manages pretty well the balance between the challenge and the reward, just few bosses may be found frustrating but once the proper strategy is found, the entire game is not difficult. I started in survival and I downgraded the difficulty at mid-game. There is a trophy that is earned only if you beat the game in under 5 hours. There is 15 chapters, when I was on chapter 7 I was at my 7 hours on it. I realized that I was spending a lot of time sneaking around trying to be not found and I was not efficient in term of saving bullets. By downgrading, the game becomes far easier by finding all resources you need.
My recommendation, beat the game in Survival since it is the purpose of this kind of game.
The story is very good and the cut-scenes are well done. It is similar to Resident Evil games. The characters are well developed, but only detective Castellanos is focused on.
Today, this game is under 10 bucks. You can spend a good weekend by beating this game. This game has a New Game+ option in where you can start over wherever chapter you want with all the point earned. The trophies are designed to be earned by beating the game several times. There are few trophies that are far too difficult to earn in a single play-through.
I recommend this game, specially now, there is a second part. Great production of quality game.
