The most memorable Zelda game

Good

- cel shading was a good choice on GC, and still looks unique and beautiful in the remaster in 2023

- one of my favorite camera design in any video game. It can be zoomed really far out if I needed to see a lot. Sensitivity is also perfect

- the controls are smooth. Rolling around gave a nice sense of speed and being able to time perfect rolls to the next area felt satisfying

- parry system is a very nice addition. The animation also looks really cool.

- enemy design is detailed. There are little nuances like them being surprised, angry, and retrieving their weapon if they dropped it.

- swift sail is an absolute necessary and welcome addition in the remake. Made travelling 1000x less annoying

- the story is actually pretty interesting. The ending was a little heart felt.

- there is a perfect mixture of humor and seriousness in the game, that made the whole experience memorable and charming. The side stories of all the inhabitants was also pretty interesting.

- the game progression was done very well

Bad

- Enemies are a little too easy to defeat

- the triforce gathering portion of the game was very annoying, as there is virtually no hint on where to go. The only way to find it was to literally explore every quadrant of the map.

- the wind and earth temples were also too ambiguous to locate. You had to find the cyclone frog, then tele to a blocked off island. Again, you have to randomly drift around until you found it

- the tingle triforce maps were useless, unless you had the chart of the island in that quadrant, which I didn't. There was no way I was going to hunt to fill every quadrant.

- having to use the command melody every time you want to control your partner is tedious. After one time, the game should allow you to press a button to switch to them
