The Order 1886 is failure. But still impressive no matter how you toss the dice.
STORY
The Order 1886 is about Sir Gallahad and the Knights round in 1886. He works for a secret round. He must go fight a conspiracy with a bunch of other famous historical figures by any means neccessary. Sir Gallahad must fight a legion of a werewolf uprising. He will talk to Tesla to get a weapon to do so. It's quite interesting. You will see bits and peices of the story tossed around the game in the form of notes and others. But it seems that the story takes the driver seat as you don't get to play much. You won't love the rather bland characters and stereotypes but it's still good.
GRAPHICS
Lets talk about this first since I am the graphics whore. 100K POLYGONS PER CHARACTER! 100K POLYGONS PER CHARACTER! AHHHH! So smooth... I nut my pants. It's so beautiful! LOVING DETAIL ON THE ENVIROMENTS! SEXY MUSTACHES! AAAAH! Detailed woodwork! BEAUTIFUL CINEMATOGRAPHY!! HD RESOLUTION! LOVING ANIMATION! PRISTENE DETAIL! OMG THIS GAME STOLE MY HEART! It's very brown and drab but that's ok it's really fuckin' shiny~
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay of the Order is rather shallow.. It's just another dime a dozen third person shooter with literally only 2 hours of gameplay. But it's gunplay that works well enough and at times can hike up the challange. I don't know why I am so bad at a GeOW clone. Probably because I'm such a graphics whore but oh well that's me.
So you take cover and can do some Matrix slow motion shit if your gauge is full enough. You can do some fun melle attacks with the quick time events. The game is mostly QTE. Like literally for everything
SOUND
Superb. The PS4 has superior sound. The gimmick of you hearing the PS controller never gets old. The VA is good. The music is minimal. You will love these accents.
OVERALL
TO1886 is ok. You might like it if you are into generic cover shooters.
