A sequel to one a masterpiece, is it better? Find out in this review.

User Rating: 9.5 | Thief II: The Metal Age (Trapezoide Box) PC
Note- This review was poorly written mainly because since it's not a huge improvement, there's not much to talk about lol.

Is it better than Thief: The Dark Project? Not exactly.... here's why.

Thief 2 takes place after Thief:The Dark Project, Thief 2 doesn't improve much on the graphics area, however the biggest improved in the graphic section would be the player models, the faces on the NPC's are better detailed and the AI of the NPC's seem to be slightly improved.

Thief 2 improves on having a better story, better mission design, and few more stuff. Why the game gets a 9.5? Well the main issue I had was when I play the game on Expert difficulty, I found myself spending forever looking for a item I need to steal in order to complete the game, as much as I love playing Thief on highest difficulty, I did not enjoy having to search the entire level several times for a certain item.

The gameplay is basically the same as Thief 1, WHICH is a good thing. They added in a few items and a lot of the add on items I didn't find myself using much. There is an item called "Scouting Orb" it lets you through a orb around a corner so you can see, my question is... Why don't the enemies respond to a suspicious orb on the ground? Another thing that bothered me about the Scouting Orb is when you use it when Garrett is on a ladder or rope/vine, when you look at garret through the scouting orb, garret is standing looking right at the orb, so therefor he's floating.

Well enough of me complaining about a silly item. Time to rap this review up.

Thief 2 is in doubt a awesome game and an excellent sequel
