More like a real game of golf! You wont be shooting any 52s on this game any time soon!
Not this year... I really like some of the new additions. I love the "True View" option and the "precision putting scheme". This makes the game seem much more like an actual game of golf and not so much a circus show of accuracy. In the old versions I would reliably hit 14-20 under par. With the new schemes enabled I am lucky to come up a few strokes under and happy to par the course.
To me this is a big improvement. I am not good at this version. I can get within 5 feet of the cup and double or dare I even say it, triple putt. I do not see many putts going in from outside of 10 feet and almost never a 25ft shot. If I was on the green in previous versions I was as good as in the hole. It didnt matter if I was 70ft away from the cup on a hill, I would make it. Now I am a nervous wreck every time I step up to the ball. I get a feeling of defeat when I miss a shot but that makes the feeling when I make a shot all the better.
This may not sound like a positive review but it is. Golf was starting to grow tiresome and a bit too easy. This new version adds a level of difficulty that I enjoy and is once again challenging me. When I am playing my buddies they have the same disadvantages that I have so it really means something to "eagle" a hole, it doesnt happen often. In my humble opinion that s the way golf should be played.
