What the hell Gamespot?!
Essentially its Time Crisis 4, Razing Storm, Dead Storm Pirates and a FPS free movement game which is online multi player compatible, all for only $60-$70AU depending where you shop, or even less at $55AU if you are into importing from Play Asia or OZGameshop!
The arcade games are faithful widescreen high definition ports that live up to the Time Crisis name. I got some nostalgia chills from the sound effects which even date back to Time Crisis 1 such as the bullet impact sound, all in 5.1 surround sound!
I had a blast gunning through the arcade modes of the ports with my Move in the Sony gun attachment. There are absolutely no slips in the controls unless you put the controller down and run to do something, in which you will need to re-calibrate because it will read its position wrong and calibration will be slightly off. Completely understandable in my opinion.
The FPS game could be better as the movement feels clunky and awkward. In all honesty, the arcade ports make up for all the mistakes with that game because of the variety and value of the arcade ports.
Arcade games have always had that sense of cheese to them, so I do not understand why reviewers are giving it such a hard time. Its also not just simply waving the gun around to mow down enemies as they say, most parts of the game require precision aiming and there are many areas which mix up the game play such as helicopter chases, sniping stages and enemies needing a few guided rockets up the a**!
Its definitely worth more than a 6.0! At least 8.5 because of the sheer value, variety even if one of the 4 games doesn't live up to it.
