Released in 2012, Sony Online Entertainment's PlanetSide 2 is a massively multiplayer online shooter that continues to thrive with a passionate fanbase. Since its release, PlanetSide 2 has gotten more expansive and engaging with age, and each update to the game has added in game-changing additions that make the faction battles more dynamic. Following the launch of its March expansion, Escalation, the developers are prepping the release of the next update, Colossus, which will go live on June 17.
In this exclusive gameplay trailer for GameSpot's Play For All, we have an early look at the newest content drop coming to the online shooter. Along with new weapons and quality-of-life changes, the Colossus update will also introduce a new tank to use against your enemies and even the odds when facing off against fleet carriers on the ground. While PlanetSide 2 has tanks, the new heavy tank can fit up to five players, making it handy for raiding enemy bases and taking out defenses.
