It may not be great compared to today's standards but come on! You gotta hand it to Nintendo's family classic!

This is a review of Wii Sports for the Wii
Now the Wii was first released in 2006 (it was then called the revolution) and was a groundbreaking success in terms of sale and every family wanted the Wii cause of it's accessibility. Wii Sports was in development at the time the Wii was released. 4 years later and people think it's rubbish. Well I'm here to prove them wrong. I'm gonna tell you how good this game really is!

I'll explain the controls in the gameplay paragraph.

The Visuals are groundbreaking and it holds up well even today. Your characters look simple but sharp and the environments look detailed and realistic e.g: the golf games areas look more like grass and the trees look like real trees.

The Gameplay is 5 games bowled into one. Tennis (my dad's favourite) is when 2 Mii's play on both sides and you play Tennis. All you need to is swing your Wii Mote to hit the ball. The Harder you swing, the further the ball will travel. This is a pretty good game if you have more players but it's less fun when play on your own. Bowling is where you bowl the bowling ball to knock over the 10 pins in front of you. You Hold the B button, then as you swing your Wii Mote let go of the B button to throw. The Bowling games are good for casual play and compedetive play and the scores are like real bowling too! Golf is a game where you wack a ball with a golf club into the hole. To swing your club, swing your Wii Mote, to change your club use the up and down buttons on the control pad and change direction by pressing left or right on the control pad. Golf is fun every once in a while but gets boring after a few weeks. Baseball is watered down in this version. To pitch, Swing your Wii Mote as hard as you can. To Swing your bat, again swing your Wii Mote. Baseball may look boring but it's actually kinda fun although my brother hates this sport because he loses every time or it's an unfair sport. Boxing is the 5th sport and it uses the Nunchuck for the second hand. Boxing is where you sok the crud out of each other using different combos. You punch by punching with the Wii Mote or Nuchuck and dodge by leaning left or right. I'm a pro at this sport because I play this game more often. There is a fitness test but like Frequenxy says, you can't trust the fitness age one bit because sometimes it can show inaccurate results. But overall, fantastic choice of sports!

The Music is legendary. The Opening and Menu music is epic and the sound FX are cool and cartoony

The Downsides were that the AI in Boxing can be unbelievably cheap and that the game can loose it's multiplayer charm once you get Brawl in your Wii Library AND the fitness tests age calculations are not very reliable.

Wii Sports is a fantastic game for parties and you can get it free when you buy a Wii console. Remember, Judge a game not on it's graphics but on it's gameplay. That's what Nintendo is all about.

The Good: Variety of sports, good multiplayer, compedetive gamplay, nice graphics, epic music, the best game for parties or family friend meetings, motion controls are responsive, Wii Fitness keeps you coming back for more.

The Bad: Can loose it's multiplayer charm when you get Brawl, fitness results isn't accurate, cheap AI in boxing

The Ugly: No ugly points here!

Title: A good game but not enough ooomph!!
