My WWE 2K15 Review for PS3/360. AKA Last Gen versions.

So the PS3/360 versions of WWE 2K15 has been released on the last generation platforms 3 weeks prior to the Next Gen counterpart, This review will only be focused on the PS3/360 versions with little mention of the Next Gen versions.

So when you first play the game you will notice that it is largely the same, the menus look the same with an updated background and the new cover athlete at the Main Menu, but you don't buy a game for the menus now do you ? no you buy it for the gameplay, And the gameplay this year has been tweaked just a little bit still the same as 2K14 but the moves connect a lot better and some moves such as Cena's AA and among other have gotten an animation update, The graphics look 5 notches better than last year (imo) The commentary has been improved as promised.

Now getting into the roster. The roster this year may seem small but it's not. In reality the roster seems small because there are less legends and less duplicates of certain superstars. WWE 13 & 2K14 had a ton of duplicates. The new roster is nice having Bray Wyatt,Goldust,Xavier Woods,Sami Zayn,Adrian Nevvile,Rusev,Bo Dallas, & Corey Graves.

Now getting into the 2 Campaign Modes. On Last Gen there is no My Career so in it's place for last gen people Next Genners do not get this is, Who Got NXT. It's basically a mode where you play 4 matches with all 5 of the NXT superstars, and you have to complete this mode in order to unlock and play as any of the 5 NXT superstars the matches in the mode are also like Attitude Era, 30 Years of WM, & 2K Showcase in that you have to do complete certain objectives to complete the match. The 2nd Campaign Mode is 2K Showcase which this mode will be on next gen. 2K Showcase is exactly like Attitude & 30 Years from the past 2 games but it's not necessarily a bad thing The video packs are phenomenal and it focuses on 2 feuds I solely remember from a few years ago and a decade ago. CM Punk/Cena feud that went on from Summer of 2011 all the way to Early 2013 is just icing on the cake of this amazing mode. The 2nd feud they focus on is the HBK/HHH Feud from Summer of 2002 to Early 2004. I haven't made it to the 2nd chapter yet as I am still on the Punk/Cena one. The commentary in the Showcase mode is excellent.

So what to talk about next? I guess I can tell you about Universe mode. Universe mode is basically the same as 2K14 except it has this new thing called Story Collection which seems pretty neat. I bet the Next Gen versions Universe will be just like this. The creation suite is still the same I believe. The new soundtrack is kinda nice I have found a few tracks that I can bob my head too while going through the menus.

Now all in all I give the PS3/360 Version of WWE 2K15. and 8.75 out of 10. I say if you're only on last gen I would buy it. But if you're getting a NextGen system like I am I say only rent it and play it until Nov 18th. And if you're really not sure about getting this game and sticking with just 2K14. You have to ask yourself.

Do I want 2K Showcase?

Do I want Who Got NXT?

Do I want a Roster Update

&

Do I want the NXT guys?

All in all an 8.75 out of 10.

Buy it if you're a last genner

Rent it if you're a next genner
