Dynamix is currently developing the next addition to the popular Sierra sports line, Front Page Sports.

Comments

Ski Racing, from Dynamix, will be added to Sierra On-Line's popular Front Page Sports series. Like other FPS titles, Ski Racing will be more simulation than arcade. Six real world-class ski courses - Whistler, Vail, Park City, Aspen, Mt. Bachelor, and Val d'Isere - have been measured and re-created for the game.

Front Page Sports: Ski Racing will utilize Dynamix's new 3-D engine, allowing players to race from either a first-person or third-person perspective in five different events: Downhill, Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G, and Combined. There will also be options for single racing, single tournament, and career play modes, as well as multiplayer options through modem, LAN, and Internet tournaments. Coaching tips will be provided by Olympic Downhill champion Picabo Street.

FPS: Ski Racing will support Rendition and 3Dfx cards and Microsoft's Sidewinder and yet-to-be-released Force Feedback joysticks. The title is scheduled for release in October 1997.
