Universal Pictures has released the first full-length trailer for Steve Jobs, the upcoming biopic about the legendary Apple designer who passed away in 2011. This spot follows a teaser trailer released in May.

The movie, called Steve Jobs, is directed by Danny Boyle, who won an Oscar for Slumdog Millionaire. It also stars Seth Rogen as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Kate Winslet as Macintosh developer Joanna Hoffman, and Jeff Daniels as former Apple CEO John Sculley.

It's a riveting trailer, offering something of a darker take on the iconic Apple visionary and his life. On display in the video are a series of gripping scenes, including Jobs butting heads with the Apple executives and some tense encounters with Chrisann Brennan, the mother of his first child, Lisa.

Aaron Sorkin (The West Wing, The Social Network) wrote the the screenplay for Steve Jobs. The movie is based on author Walter Isaacson's biography and hits theaters on October 9.

This is not the first movie based on the life of Steve Jobs, who died in 2011. In 2013, Ashton Kutcher starred as Jobs alongside Josh Gad as Wozniak in the movie Jobs.

Fassbender is also slated to play the lead role in the upcoming Assassin's Creed movie, which is scheduled to start filming in September.
