Long ago I found a nice little 2d shooter that looked extraordinarily hard.... It featured a white spaceship in the 80 classic grafic.... I cannot remember much about it other than that the final boss of the first stage was a green worm with a blue sphere witch acted both as his head and his weak point....
The second final boss featured a similar structure from the first... But instead of being a worm it looked like a whole structure with the ball weak point included in a sort of construction, bouncing around a small room with a little hole where you would shoot through....
The last thing I remember is the countdown when you would put a coin to continue playing after a game over.... It was built with small spheres that started eradiating from the center forming in succession the countdown...
