Looking for an old game I can not remember the name of it.

Ok, so based on what I remember the game was a 3D game and the main character was a short haired girl. The game is based on places that you collect stuff and move on to the next mission. I can not remember any more details because that's all I remember. It was a very high quality drawing and the last mission was in the water. Please help me I have been searching for it non-stop with no results.

There was this game I used to play where you start out, i think, on a ship, and you find this sword chained to a wall and take it and the sword talks to you during the game. I think it was for PS1, but it could be nes-ps1. It was a rpg.
