Star Trek: Discovery Season 3 Episode 6 Breakdown & References - "Scavengers"

Burnham takes Georgiou on an unsanctioned mission to find Book, undermining Saru. Greg and Chastity break down the plot and Easter eggs from "Scavengers".

In Star Trek: Discovery Season 3, Episode 6, the USS Discovery gets a 32nd century retrofit, now bearing the registry NCC 1031-A. Internal systems have been updated and programmable matter has been integrated into the ship. The crew get new combadges, which now function as projecting holo PADDs, tricorders, communicators, and transporters. Admiral Vance (Oded Fehr) is utilizing the Discovery and its spore drive as a rapid responder, telling them to stand by for a mission to Argeth to confront the Emerald Chain, which is the Andorian/Orion syndicate.

Cleveland "Book" Booker is missing, and the Discovery is hailed by his cat, Grudge. Book found a black box and set his ship to find Discovery if he didn't return in 24 hours. It's been three weeks since he made the message, so Burnham wants to go find him and retrieve the black box. Saru doesn't allow it as they're under strict orders to stand by to jump to Argeth. Instead of following orders, Burnham recruits Georgiou (Michelle Yeoh) to go off on a rogue mission to save Book. Chastity and Greg recap the story and comb through Episode 6 for Easter eggs and Star Trek references from past episodes of Star Trek TOS and TNG, and Season 1 of Discovery.
