Though Gran Turismo for the PSP is launching alongside the PSP Go on October 1, PSP-less fans wishing to pick it up may want to wait. Today, Sony announced a limited-edition Gran Turismo PSP Entertainment Pack will go on sale on October 20 for $199.99 in the US and C$199.99 in Canada.

$234 worth of stuff for $199? Sure, why not?

As the name implies, the bundle includes Gran Turismo for the PSP (in UMD form) and a PSP--a "Mystic Silver" PSP-3000, to be exact. Also boxed in are a 2GB Memory Stick Pro Duo and vouchers for a series of downloadable goodies: an as-yet untitled PlayStation Network movie and a white Chevrolet Corvette ZR1, a color not available in the regular game. Bought separately, the game and handheld would cost $209.98, with 2GB Memory Stick Duos selling for as low as $13- $14 and PSN movies costing $9.99-$14.99. US residents will also get a 10-song Sony Music Pass voucher.

Today's announcement will be one of the last before Gran Turismo finally arrives on the PSP. First announced in May 2004 for a spring 2005 launch, the game has taken a long and winding road to release. After suffering several delays, the game was rolled out and given a hard release date at Sony's press briefing at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this past June.
