Nintendo launched eight new titles onto its digital marketplace this week, including a Square Enix duo for WiiWare, a prehistoric strategy game from Fallout-developer Interplay, and more.

On WiiWare this week are two 1,000 Wii point ($10) games from Square Enix. The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Chaotic Conflicts and The Tales of Bearsworth Manor: Puzzling Pages both take place inside a mysterious manor. Chaotic Conflicts tasks players with defending blue crystals from Kina, a boy living inside the mansion. To defend the jewels, players must throw "animated paper bears."

Puzzling Pages is, as its names suggests, puzzle oriented. Similar to Chaotic Conflicts, the game has players throw paper bears, but in this game, these bears must be placed in the correct locations to reap the game's rewards. Additionally, Square Enix says that completing both titles will uncover a "deeper mystery."

On the DSiWare front, Legendary Wars: T-Rex Rumble (800 DSi points, or $8) is a prehistoric strategy game from Interplay. The game has players commanding more than 20 men struggling to survive in real-time battles against dinosaurs. Players will gather knowledge and amass additional forces along the way.

Also on DSiWare this week is Puffins: Let's Fish. From Other Ocean Interactive, the 500 DSi point ($5) game puts players in the role of a puffin diving for food and avoiding maritime dangers.

Other DSiWare releases this week include Spin Six (500 DSi points, or $5), a puzzle game where players must rotate panels to advance; Mega Words (500 DSi points, or $5), a vocabulary-based puzzle collection; and Super Swap (500 DSi points, or $5), a puzzle game with power-ups and four game modes.

Rounding out the WiiWare lot, the latest ArtStyle game, a tentacle-themed microorganism title dubbed ArtStyle: Rotozoa (600 Wii points, or $4), saw release this week. The focus of the game is to grow the organism's tentacles. To do this, players must color-match the microscopic being's tentacles by absorbing enemies called goobugs.

Nostalgic gamers will have to wait at least one more week, as Nintendo did not release anything on the Virtual Console.
