Call of Duty: Black Ops is already a huge blockbuster. Treyarch's shooter has sold close to 14 million copies in the United States alone since debuting in November, becoming the United States' best-selling game ever. The game welcomed the First Strike map pack in February, and now Black Ops is set to grow even further.

The fighting escalates this May, according to the leaked ad.
The fighting escalates this May, according to the leaked ad.

According to an advertisement (since pulled) from Australian video game retailer GAME (via Kotaku Australia), Call of Duty: Black Ops will welcome the Escalation map pack on May 3. According to the image (at right), the map pack will contain what appear to be four multiplayer environments: Zoo, Convoy, Hotel, Stockpile and a zombie map dubbed "Call of the Dead."

Additionally, the promotional image contains language stating the map pack will debut first on Xbox Live like the First Strike pack before it. The GAME advertisement for the map pack did not offer a price. However, if the past serves as precedent, gamers can expect to pay $15 for the Escalation map pack.

Neither publisher Activision nor developer Treyarch has formally announced the expansion. And, as of press time, Activision and Treyarch have not responded to GameSpot's request for comment or clarification on the purported Escalation map pack.
