Not my animal crossing, yet a good game.

The most important game of my childhood ever, was Animal Crossing New Leaf. The core gameplay, for me at least, or just trying your best to make the most out of living in a small town that you yourself rule over was something that kept me playing for 4 years.

I feel like New Horizons was a step down in almost every way compared to New Leaf. The gameplay, while seeming to be fun at first, later boiled down to just continuously creating a better and better village. While New Leaf I feel was full of fun things to do, I believe that New Horizons is more-so for people who wanna relax, or just enjoy themselves in another world, a town they spent time in to look nice and be rich with detail. I myself don't enjoy that as much, and in fact think that I made myself very bored with just hours of work going into terraforming and getting the needed items for areas.I got the game on launch, played it for 1 month, played it sparsely for another month, and then dropped it altogether.

One of my favorite aspects in all of gaming is game music. This ost in New Leaf is one of that most re-memorable osts out there, like 1Am, 5Pm, and 7Pm. This music is ingrained into my mind, and it always makes me nostalgic, sometimes to the point where I mourn the loss of my town ( Corrupted ). New Horizons however had music that wasn't as much as making you feel happy or motivated, more again relaxed. will say that I loved 5pm and 7pm though.

Overall, I feel that this is a good game, just not for me, not the people who have been playing animal crossing for years. It's for those who really do want to just dwell into another world, and create their own personal utopia. For me, that's not playing a game, it's just working, and living in your work instead of having fun. It was ultimately a disappointment, but did have enjoyment for the first couple of weeks playing it.
