My review of last raven , I thought that GameSpot's Staff review wasn't making the game justice, so I made my own.

User Rating: 9.3 | Armored Core: Last Raven PS2
First off I wanna say that I out the learning curve to 4 or more hours because with this game you never stop discovering new things, up to date this is around the seventh or eighth year I've played it and still I discover new things to do, new combinations and new ways of playing. but if you mean a very very basic feel of the game you would need at least 2 hours.

This review is about the GamePlay more than the story itself, newcomers to the game will usually say; "The controls are to hard" or "the game is to hard", and this is true if you are just starting, it takes countless hours og gaming to be able to just make an AC from scratch and make it decently playable but this is just one aspect of the game.

I would say that to be able to enjoy this games as much as I do you would have to start from at least Armored Core: Project Phantasma, this is the second game of the series and its for PSX, and contrary to staff believes this game and Armored Core: Master of Arena are actually harder to pass than the PS2 ones.

From then each game has brought a little to the series and then it culminates with Last Raven on the PS2 wich I might say for a fan of this series is a dream come true, the extensive gameplay this game provides, the thrill of each fight, each new mecha to try out is just incredible, I must say the best in the series if you've played them all if not I wouldn't recommend starting with this one because its practicly only for veterans and a newcomer to the series would not see how fun it is.

Overall if you've played the other ones and passed them 100% and enjoyed them this one is a lot better and the option are endless, as a fan since I played Project Phantasma in 1999 I can say each new release has offer hours of gameplay.

The control is another thing, once you get the hang of it you'll want more buttons on the control to be able to do more things, although I don't think theres enough fingers in the hand, I can h9onestly say I have never seen a game that requires more ability, focus and concentration and the use of the whole control to play than this one.

if you're a weak gamer this one is not for you.

The story is weak as so is the soundtrack but eventhough once you get passed this you can really enjoy the game, the way I see it the fun starts once you have passed the game and you begin customization and rivalry with someone else.

Oh and one more thing, if you have a friend who's just a fan as you its just ,ore fun, and even better if he is as good or as bad as you.
