Filming has begun on Marvel's third Ant-Man film. Director Peyton Reed, who also directed the first two, announced the news on Twitter with a very scary image that has special significance in the Ant-Man universe.

"It begins," Reed said of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (via Collider). "Day One - Principal Photography." He added an image of the creepy bunny that Scott Lang gave to his daughter in the first movie; the bunny made an appearance in the sequel, too, and it seems it'll have some eerie role to play in the third movie as well.

Quantumania sees Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly reprise their starring roles as Ant-Man and the Wasp. Michael Douglass and Michelle Pfeiffer are back, too. In a change for the series, Scott's daughter, Cassie, has been recast; Kathryn Newton is taking over for Emma Fuhrmann. Jonathan Majors, who appeared in Loki, will be playing the villainous Kang the Conqueror.

One cast member who won't be returning however is T.I., who played Dave in the first two Ant-Man movies. The actor and rapper and his wife, musician Tiny, have been accused of sexual abuse, kidnapping, assault, and harassment. The legal team for T.I. and Tiny have denied the claims.

Part of MCU Phase 4, Quantumania is scheduled to hit theaters in February 2023. There will be seven MCU movies that come out before then, including Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings (September 2021), Eternals (November 2021), Spider-Man: No Way Home (December 2021), Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (March 2022), Thor: Love and Thunder (May 2022), Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (July 2022), and The Marvels (November 2022).
