Apex Legends Season 16: Revelry launches in just under one week, but today, developer Respawn Entertainment kicked off the seasonal festivities early with the release of the Revelry gameplayer trailer, which details some of the absolutely massive gameplay changes coming to Apex next week.

Beginning on Revelry's Valentine's Day launch, Respawn will start sharing the love via a number of new features, including a Collection Event with a Mythic-tier reward players won't want to miss. Also on the menu is the Remastered Legend System, login bonuses, and, of course, a brand-new battle pass.

Revelry battle pass

The Revelry battle pass is packed to the brim with gorgeous cosmetic items that have a brightly colored neon aesthetic with a party theme. Bright purples, yellows, and pinks dominate the color palette, and though they're sure to make you an easy target on certain maps, you'll at least look fabulous while you're getting finished by the enemy.

TDM

As was previously announced, Apex Legends: Revelry will bring 6v6 Team Deathmatch into the fold as a permanent mode for the first two weeks of Season 16, after which it will join Gun Run and Control in a permanent rotating playlist called Mixtape mode. Arenas will no longer be available starting February 14.

Remastered Legend Classes

The gameplay trailer also mentioned the new Remastered Legend Classes, a new system that goes into effect when Revelry goes live, and will see every legend in the game gain a new Class Perk. There are also some significant buffs and nerfs affecting certain legends. Learn more via our guide to Respawn's new legend class system.

New weapon: Nemesis

Players were also given a glimpse of Apex's newest weapon, the Nemesis, in the new trailer. This is the first time it's been seen in action, and it appears to pack a serious punch.

Heirloom Shards

Apex's fourth anniversary was on February 4, and Respawn is celebrating by giving players access to a new collection event that gives players a set of Heirloom Shards to use as they wish for unlocking all 24 cosmetic items in the upcoming Anniversary Collection Event. This is something fans have been hoping for, as last year's Anniversary Collection reward was a Bloodhound Prestige Skin that left some feeling disappointed.

Additionally, players will be able to unlock Crypto for free and unlock a free Crypto Thematic Pack just for logging in during the first week of the season. During week two, logging in will unlock Ash for free, along with a free Ash Thematic Pack. And to top it all off, players will also have access to a free reward track they can complete just by playing the game. If that's not a reason to celebrate, we don't know what is.

Apex Legends Season 16: Revelry begins on Tuesday, February 14 at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. For a closer look at what to expect from Season 16, check out our Revelry guide.

Apex Legends is free to play on console and PC. A mobile version of the game, Apex Legends Mobile, is available to play on Android and iOS devices, but will be sunset on May 1, 2023.
