The game was supposed to launch in August.

Studio Wildcard announced that it is delaying Ark: Survival Ascended to October 2023. It's a remaster of 2015's Ark: Survival Evolved and it'll launch on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

"We’ve found it challenging working with Unreal Engine 5.2, but at the same time, it is incredibly exciting," Studio Wildcard explained in a statement. "We’re discovering new ways each day to push the technology to the next level; combined with the work needed to support a fully cross-platform-moddable game ecosystem on consoles and PC, it’s clear that we’ll need a bit more time."

Furthermore, The Island DLC expansion will be included with the game, but the remaster of the Scorched Earth expansion has been delayed until December. The Ragnarok and Abberation expansions will launch in the first quarter of 2024, followed by the rest of the maps afterward.

Additionally, the game's early access price will be $45 with a launch discount price of $40. Ark: Survival Evolved's servers were scheduled to go offline in August, to be replaced by Ark: Survival Ascended. However, with Ascended's delay, Evolved's servers will now shut down on September 30.

Studio Wildcard is also working on a sequel, Ark 2, that's set to launch at the end of 2024 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It'll also be available on Xbox Game Pass and features actor Vin Diesel.
