Fishtank Interactive has released a playable demo of Arx Fatalis, its upcoming role-playing game. The 150MB demo includes two levels from the full version of the game, and it let players cast three magic spells.

The full version of the game will feature an epic single-player campaign with a variety of subquests, a unique combat system, more than 50 different magic spells, and an online multiplayer deathmatch mode. Players will explore the depths of a subterranean medieval fantasy world known as Arx. They must undertake a quest to defeat the evil god of chaos, Akbaa, and his army of minions.

Arx Fatalis is in development at France-based Arkane Studios, and it is scheduled for release this spring. For more information, take a look at our previous coverage of the game and download the playable demo linked below.
