Bad Boys 4 Trailer Sees The Duo On The Lam
Poor Reggie is still getting grilled by Marcus, portrayed by Martin Lawrence.
The setup for Bad Boys: Ride or Die is that Marcus and Mike are... well, set up. The new trailer for the fourth installment in the action series--starring Martin Lawrence and Will Smith--shows the pair getting framed after an intense plane sequence while transporting a criminal.
But before that, Bad Boys 4 looks like it will have the usual comedic banter between the two stars, with the teaser starting with Marcus needing a pitstop for a ginger ale. This leads to a silly stickup scene at a convenience store. Mike is more upset about Marcus grabbing Skittles than he is with a robber holding a gun to his partner's head. Oh, and then there is Marcus giving his son-in-law, Reggie, a hard time--a bit that first started in Bad Boys 2.
As for the serious aspects, Bad Boys 4 shows things are amiss when it's reported that Captain Howard (played by Joe Pantoliano) was working with drug cartels. Obviously, that's another set-up, one that Marcus and Mike want to investigate before getting framed themselves.
Bad Boys 4 was announced back in January 2020, basically with the arrival of Bad Boys For Life in theaters at the time. Bad Boys 3 had a strong opening weekend, especially considering it was the first sequel in the series after 17 years. For more, check out GameSpot's Bad Boys For Life review.
Bad Boys: Ride or Die will premiere June 7 in theaters.
