Battlefield 2042, CoD: Vanguard, And More Xbox Digital Game Preorders Are $10 Off

Take $10 off to pretend like that next-gen game price hike never happened.

Between the increase in prices for many current-gen games and the general lack of discounts on digital games around their launches, buying new games on Xbox Series X|S or PS5 can be a pricey proposition. Fortunately, a new sale on Newegg is easing that sting a little for Xbox owners, as it's offering $10 off preorders on select Xbox/PC games, including some of fall's biggest releases: Battlefield 2042, Call of Duty: Vanguard, Halo Infinite, and Forza Horizon 5.

Save $10 with promo code PRESAVE

By using the promo code presave, you can take $10 off codes for digital copies of these games. That includes their various special editions, so in the case of something like Forza Horizon 5, you can get the Premium edition that packs in perks that aren't available for free to Xbox Game Pass members, such as two as-of-yet-unannounced DLC expansion packs. The Premium edition also gets you early access, letting you start playing on November 5 instead of November 9, when it officially launches.

In the case of Call of Duty: Vanguard (releasing November 5), you can choose the cross-gen bundle that provides access to both the Xbox One and Series X|S versions of the game (which doesn't support Smart Delivery). If you're still playing on Xbox One but know you'll want to play Vanguard on a new-gen console once you find one in stock, this will let you pay the same $60 price that you would spend just to get the Xbox One edition at regular price. That said, if you only care about playing on Xbox One, this deal will let you get that version for $50.

With Battlefield 2042 (releasing November 19), you can get yourself early access by opting for the Gold or Ultimate editions. Doing so will let you start playing on November 12 and get you various other bonuses. The standard edition included in this sale will get you access on both Xbox One and Series X|S.

As noted above, the first-party games included in this promotion will both be available through Xbox Game Pass right at launch, meaning you might be able to hold off on buying them outright. But if you are interested, both Halo Infinite (releasing December 8) and Forza Horizon 5's digital editions support cross-buy, meaning you'll get access to them on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC--but again, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members will get to play these games on all of these platforms as well.
