Codemasters has today announced that its official Battlefield Command Web site has been updated and now boasts its own forums. It was also revealed today that the game originally known as WWII RTS and then renamed Battlefield Command will, in fact, be released as Battlefield Command: Europe at War 1939 - 1945--clarifying the fact that the game is set in World War II, and it will cover everything from the 1939-40 invasions of Poland and France and the war on the eastern front to the D-Day landings and the fall of Germany in 1945.

Battlefield Command is currently in development at Russia-based 1C Company, the same studio responsible for the IL-2 Sturmovik flight simulator. The game is currently scheduled for release early next year and will be shown for the first time at E3 in May.
